MOMENT OF SYNCHRONOUS GENERATOR AT INDUCTIVE AND CAPACITIVE LOAD
The purpose of the study is to show that the moment developed by a synchronous electric machine with reactive load is not zero. In this case we are talking about the instantaneous value of the moment. For the stated theorem, three independent proofs are presented — for any reactive load, for inductive load, and for capacitive load. Thus, contrary to the possible intuitive assumption, in an inductive synchronous electric machine with a reactive load, the developed moment is not equal to zero. It follows from this that the mechanical power developed by the machine is also not zero.
